Friends & Fondue in the Swiss Alps
Another great trip on the books as our time living in Europe comes close to an end. Our wonderful and long time friends came to visit, and we took a road trip to the Swiss Alps together. We stayed in a charming car free village called Wengen. On day one, we took the cable car up to Männlichen and enjoyed a day of "sledging" down the mountain. Day two, we took a long trip to Mürren on the other side of the valley by train, cable car, and another train in an attempt to go tubing on the top of the mountain. Unfortunately, it had been closed due to high winds, so we took a furnicular up to an area called Allmendhubel which afforded us a lovely lunch and beautiful views from a snow-covered playground. We ended the afternoon at Trümmelbach Falls in Lauterbrunnen. On our final day, we took the train up to Kleine Scheidegg for more sledging. During our trip, we made sure to indulge in traditional Swiss fondue more than once. Below are some of my favorite images and our 1 Second Video.
